Chris Pozza is currently a fifth year in the Architectural Engineering program at The Pennsylvania State University.  He will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree in May 2013.  Chris was fortunate to study abroad in the Sede di Roma program in Rome, Italy during the summer of 2011 and has received an Architectural Studies Minor.  In fall 2011, Chris passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and will achieve Engineer-in-Training status upon graduation.

Chris’ internship experience consists of working for DPR Construction.  His first professional experience in the Building Industry was working as a Field Engineer on the focus of this capstone project; a $40 million Kaiser Permanente medical office building.  Here, Chris assisted with sequencing and planning the renovation for the occupied medical office building, was responsible for electronic project documentation, and dealt with coordination issues in the field using the project’s BIM model.  Chris also chaperoned a field trip and camping trip for the Maryland Multicultural Youth Center.

Chris has been involved with several leadership roles during his time at Penn State.  He was a cofounder and President of the United States Green Building Council – Penn State Student Chapter.  Chris received hands-on experience when volunteering for the RenewCrew 2011.  Here, Chris took part in the assembly of a 2.5 kilowatt photovoltaic array for a community well in Roatan, Honduras.  Chris is also a member of the Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence, and the Student Society of Architectural Engineers, the National Society of Leadership and Success.
